A citizen of the world. Multiple disciplines merged into one. I grew up in the US and Taiwan and eventually found myself studying, teaching, and researching in Taiwan, the US, Austria, and France. While moving freely between countries and cultures, I was also smoothly transgressing the disciplinary boundaries of psychology (perception and cognitive science), philosophy (of mind, biology, and science), and biology (general life sciences, evolutionary biology, immunology). It is exhilarating to bring together multiple talents and scaffold synthesizing "big picture" point of views. I enjoy working with visionaries (re)imagining new futures, be it at the interface of disciplines, science-society, or between the arts and the sciences.
